Dr Pamela Price grew up on Long Island and has since made a home in the United Kingdom. Her passion for books and writing has been present from childhood. She spent many lazy summers reading as many books as possible with the local library reading challenges – reaching over a hundred books one summer! Her ambition to write children’s literature has been life long and she has been writing for many years, secreting away novellas, poems and writer’s journals. Having raised her two children, she can now begin to bring her collection of YA novels and children’s poems to fruition.
Pamela’s educational journey has taken her from St. John’s University, New York where she has a BSc in Education, to Brunel University London where she achieved a Master of Arts with Distinction in Creative Writing: The Novel. Pamela has recently completed a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at Cardiff University, Wales under the supervision of Dr Catherine Butler and Dr David Doddington where her research focus was on slavery, literacy and power.

In addition to writing novels and poetry, Pamela is a keen educator and has worked as a seminar leader in Creative Reading and Creative Writing at Cardiff University. Pamela is also a Private English Tutor and has taught secondary school English Language and Literature. She is dedicated to improving literacy and sharing her own love of literature, especially YA books, with her students of all ages. Pamela also works as a freelance writer promoting literacy and creative writing.
Apart from writing, reading and research, in her real life, Pamela loves: art history, photography, films, baking, tennis, swimming and watching Formula 1.
Pamela believes that inspiration comes in all forms, especially the gold shoes she wears when writing! Let the magic begin!
